Iran, Turkey sign MoU on technical-engineering services

The 26th joint economic commission meeting held in Tehran on November 25-26, 2017.

The two ministers signed an agreement on joint cooperation in exporting technical-engineering services.

The two sides targeted reaching exchange ceiling in this sector to 10 billion dollars.

Transport facilitation and transit were among important axis of talks in the meeting and another MoU was signed between ministers of Turkey and Iran in this field.

Shariatmadari said in the meeting that given both countries' leaders' intention to expand all-out ties the two states should take faster steps in this concern.

Zeybekci, for his part, also underlined importance of national interests of both countries while signing contracts and documents.
Current position in exchange level is not ideal yet and there are many things to do in mutual cooperation, the Turk minister said.

Iran and Turkey are complementary to each other and by standing by each other will find extraordinary power, Zeybekci said.

The two ministers also discussed elimination of tariffs, reduction of tariffs, removing 'safe card' for financial interactions, facilitation in customs regulations, and establishment of preferential tariffs and problems of private sectors of the two countries for business activities.
