
Production Control Director Ali Mohammad Basaqzadeh described the situation of petrochemical products as desirable, saying that petrochemical exports have also risen by four percent in the same period.
He further noted that large portion of Iran's petrochemical exports are made to Far East and countries such as India, China and South Korea.
Basaqzadeh said that good talks were made about petrochemical exports to Europe in Germany during Dusseldorf Exhibition.
Currently, Iran's petrochemical exports are being shipped to the western and eastern European states such as Germany, Britain and Hungary, he said.
The official said that Iran's petrochemical output hit 28.7 million tons during March 20-October 21, adding that over 21 petrochemical complexes have had surplus output in the seven-month period.
