Iran, Hungary to increase agricultural cooperation

Given the potential in agriculture, the two sides underlined that cooperation in this field will prepare ground for expansion of trade and economic relations between Iran and Hungary.

Head of Hungary's Chamber of Agriculture expounded on the existing trade capacities in agricultural productions in his country and said that livestock and animal husbandry are the most important fields for bilateral cooperation.

He added that building slaughterhouses to produce Hilal meat also could be another ground for bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Gholamali Rajabi Yazdi pointed to travel of two delegations from Iran agricultural private sector to Hungary and called it an appropriate opportunity to increase interaction in the field.

Given agricultural potentials in a number of Iran’s provinces, Rajabi called for planning to establish connection between the two sides.

Hungary produced 86,000 tons of beef in the year 2015, 30,000 tons of which was exported.
