Iran, Hungary call for developing agricultural co-op

Yazdi pointed to Iranian and Hungarian experts' capacities, capabilities and experiences, urging to boost agricultural cooperation.

Iranian envoy also expressed Iran's readiness in promoting bilateral cooperation level.

He pointed to Iran's weather condition and the reduction in seasonal rainfall which has had negative consequences on agricultural products, saying that Iran pays special attention to ways to prevent wastage of water and enploying modern irrigation methods.

He referred to both countries efforts in removing pests and confronting chemical pesticides threats as a factor in polluting the environment and having unpleasant effects on human's health.

Yazdi called for Hungary's cooperation in reducing the negative effects of the mentioned issues.

He also referred to Iranian universities and firms activities in developing the use of pharmaceutical plants as another subject of joint cooperation between the two countries.

Fazekas expressed readiness to hold meetings with his Iranian counterpart, reiterating that Hungary supports establishing interaction with the Iranian firms.

'Hungary is ready to pave the way for exchanging experts with the aim of transferring experiences,' he said.

He pointed to holding the upcoming Joint Economic Commission between Iran and Hungary in Budapest, stressing that the commission would prepare the ground for having cooperation in different fields such as agriculture.
