Iran electricity market can absorb $800 m: General Electric

Preliminary market analysis by General Electric has revealed that to develop its electric power transmission grid, Iran can absorb 700 – 800 million dollars of investments, Pegah Modarresi, the company’s Middle East and Central Asia Marketing and Sales Operations Director said on the sidelines of the 16th Iran International Electricity Exhibition, reported the website of Iran's Ministry of Energy on Sunday.

Regarding development of urban areas in Iran, the country needs to consider electrical power transmission as a secondary industry, Modarresi said.

General Electric Company is determined to resume its engagement with Iran following the removal of sanctions against the country.
