During the meeting, Pashinyan referred to close and friendly ties between Iran and Armenia, saying, “We should not be satisfied with current level of relations.”

Underlining the need for continuing efforts to boost collaboration based on mutual interests, he said that Iran and Armenia will stand by each other based on the ancient bonds and national interests.

Iran’s envoy, Seyyed Kazem Sajjadi voiced his country’s readiness for implementing joint projects based on mutual interests as well as helping deepen economic ties between the two countries.

Welcoming an increase in commercial exchanges between the two countries, he said Iran’s accession to Eurasia and establishing free economic zone in Meghri can play a crucial role in boosting trade exchanges between the two countries and regional states.
