Iran Air signs final agreement with ATR for buying 20 airplanes

The agreement was signed in Tehran between Director General of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization Farhad Parvaresh and ATR Director General Christian Scherer.

Experts from Iran Air and ATR had agreed on the terms of the agreement on Monday, but the final agreement had been left to be signed by top official from both sides.

Four of the 20 purchased airplanes will be delivered to Iran within the next month and five other planes will be delivered by the end of 2017 so that Iran will have received 9 of the planes by the yearend, Farhad Parvaresh said elaborating on the terms of the signed agreement.

The purchased aircrafts are 70-seat turboprop ones, the official added.

He said that all the 20 purchased aircrafts are scheduled to be delivered to Iran by the end of 2018.
