Tehran Int'l Dust Conference to be held in July

“The Conference will be open in presence of President Hassan Rouhani, two deputies of UN Secretary General and a number of ministers from various countries,' said the executive secretary of the conference Yousef Rashidi in a press conference on Saturday.

Rashidi, who is also Deputy Head of the Department of Environment, noted that some countries send their ministers to the conference and some others take part with their experts.

Two meetings will follow the opening session at the ministerial level that will produce the final communiqué, known as Tehran communiqué, in which international and regional cooperation, as well as capacity making will be elaborated.

Four technical meetings will be held after the session. International experts attending the session, will visit Ahvaz and Kashan to take first hand account of conditions in the area and the measures taken to combat dust storms.
