Quake jolts Sefid Sang in Khorasan Razavi province

According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the quake occurred at 23:18 hours local time (18:48 GMT).

The epicenter of the quake was at 35.79 degrees north latitude and 60.40 degrees east longitude.

No report is yet available on the likely damage.

Sefid Sang, a suburb of Qalandarabad, Fariman city, is located around 100 kilometers away from Mashhad.

An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale jolted Sefidsang area last Wednesday at 10:40 local time (0610 GMT) and since then 300 aftershocks have occurred at the area.

The quake killed 2, injured 6 and inflicted damage to buildings in the towns of Sefidsang and Fariman.
