Oscar-winning 'Salesman' to be screened at Malaysian cinema

Director Asghar Farhadi won his second Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film on Sunday at the 89th Academy Awards.

Winning of the Oscar award by the Iranian director widely was covered by Malaysian media.

The Salesman is to be screened at the Petronas Twin Tower in Malaysian capital on Friday.

Farhadi, 44, did not attend the 89th Academy Award ceremony because in protest to the US President Donald Trump's visa ban against Muslims of certain Muslim-majority countries including Iran.

He named two Iranian space scientists as his representatives to receive the Oscar on his behalf.
