Minister: Azerbaijan-Iran cultural ties on the rise

Talking to IRNA, Garayev said Azerbaijan Republic and Iran enjoy friendly relations.

Touching upon Azerbaijan Republic-Iran lingual and religious commonalities, the Azeri minister called for expansion of all-out ties with Iran.

He added there is no hindrance in the way of expanding mutual relations between the two countries.

The Azeri minister went on to say that his trip to the northwestern province of Ardebil is to attend the Azerbaijan Republic's cultural week in Iran.

On July 4, Iran's Ambassador to Baku Javad Jahangir-Zadeh that cultural and media cooperation plays important role in the expansion of bilateral ties between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

He underlined increase in cultural, media and social cooperation between the two countries.

Referring to expanding cooperation between Tehran and Baku at official and popular level, eight times visits of both presidents in four years and travel of more than 1.5 million tourists of both states' citizens to each other's countries indicated vast historical, cultural and religious commonalties.
