Iran, Japan to cooperat in protection of cultural heritage

“The document for the cooperation was signed in Tokyo in March by Cultural Heritage Deputy of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, Mohammad Hassan Talebian, Head of the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Mohammad Beheshti, and President of Tokyo National Research Institute for Cultural Properties Nobuo Kamei,” RICHT Public Relations Office reported.

The agreement aimed at implementing joint projects to protect Irans's cultural heritage in various fields like knowledge, architecture, archaeology, archaeological survey, art history, anthropology, intangible cultural heritage, site management, study of museum, etc.

Separate executive programs should also be planned for each field.

The two sides also agreed on holding joint workshops, symposiums, conferences, and meetings in the aforementioned areas.
