Envoy: Cultural cooperation plays important role in expansion of ties

He underlined increase in cultural, media and social cooperation between the two countries.

The ambassador pointed to holding Azerbaijan Republic's cultural week in Iran during current week and visit of Minister of Culture and Tourism of AzerbaijanAbulfazl Garayev to Tehran.

Referring to expanding cooperation between Tehran and Baku at official and popular level, eight times visits of both presidents in four years and travel of more than 1.5 million tourists of both states' citizens to each other's countries indicated vast historical, cultural and religious commonalties.

He also announced visit of Deputy Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance for press affairs Hossein Entezami to Baku next week at the head of a media delegation.
