Culture minister stresses promotion of ties among Asian states

Jannati made the remark in a meeting with Secretary-General of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), Bundit Limschoon.

The official referred to the great history of Asian countries and urged establishment of a cultural Asian union.

The ACD can help enhancement of ties among Asian countries, he noted.

Jannati also encouraged cooperation between Iran and the Asian countries in translation of books, producing documentaries and exchange of art, music and theater delegations among the Asian states.

Limschoon for his part stressed importance of peaceful co-existence of Asian nations and development of cultural and political cooperation among them.

The ACD is ready to help promotion of cultural, political and economic cooperation among the Asian countries, he added.
