China, Iran keen on expanding postal ties: Chineses official

Ma Junsheng made the remarks on the sidelines of a ceremony to ink a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Iran Post Company and China Post.

Ma, who is also China Deputy Minister of Posts and Communications, added that Beijing is determined to expand its postal cooperation with Iran along with boosting its economic ties with the Islamic Republic.

Ma and Managing Director of Iran Post Company Hossein Mehri signed the MoU on Wednesday morning.

The MoU is expected to promote Iran-China postal cooperation with some steps to be taken for launching a financial software.

“E-commerce with China will lead to the expansion of economic relations,” Mehri added at the ceremony of singing the MoU.

Pointing to the MoUs inked between Iran and Azerbaijan Republic, Iraq, Turkey and Armenia, the official stressed that the preparatory steps have been taken for establishing similar cooperation with China.
