4.2 Richter tremor jolts Varzeqan city in East Azarbaijan

According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics Institute, the tremor occurred at 14:45:50 hours local time (10:15 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 38.45 degrees latitude and 46.74 degrees longitude and in depth of 12 kilometers underground.
Director General for Crisis Management of the Governorate General of the province Khalil Sa'ei said that there is no report on damages.
He said that epicenter for the earthquake was a village ruined in earthquake four years ago.
Varzeqan city by 50,000 population located 85 kilometers northeast of Tabriz, capital of East Azarbaijan.
In August 2012 a tremor measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale jolted Varzeqan and left a great deal of casualties and damages.
