2 Iranian films take part in Italian festival

“The short film 'Baran' (The Rain) directed by Mohammad Javad Salehi, have already been palyed in three US festivals, but for the film 'Balhayash' (Her Wings) by Kaveh Marhemati, it is the first international experience,” said one of the managers of the Cinema Solh (Peace) Ali Ashouri.

'The one-day independent festival of Permanent Memories is aimed at appreciating independent film-makers and seeks to introduce selected films to Hollywood companies pave the way for playing more international independent films,' he added.

According to Ashouri, the two short films have the potential to be played for international audience and can be good representatives of Iran’s short film cinema in international competitions.

The festival is taking place in Italy today.
