Two Iranian GR wrestlers rank 2nd, 3rd in UWW rankings

Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler Afshin Biabangard, in the 70-kilogram category, and Qasem Rezaei, in the 98-kilogram category, maintained their position as the world’s second and third best athletes of the United World Wrestling rankings respectively.

Hamid Sourian, a six-time world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling who won the ticket for 2016 Rio Olympics in his last chance in qualifying tournaments, ranked 14th in the latest UWW ranking in 59 weight class.

Qasem Rezaei grabbed a bronze medal in Greco-Roman wrestling in Rio 2016 Olympics last month.
