Mountaneers from Gilan conquer Mount Aragats, Armenia

The supervisor of the public relations department of sports and adolescents office of Gilan Saeed Alipour said said that the five-member mount climbing group from Rostam Abad headed by Iraj Hossein Nejad conquered Mount Aragats.

The second group consisting of fourteen mountaineers from Lahijan climbed Mount Aragats.

Mount Aragats is an isolated four-peaked volcano massif in Armenia. Its northern summit, at 4,090 m (13,420 ft) above sea level, is the highest point of the Lesser Caucasus and Armenia. It is also one of the highest points in the Armenian Highlands.
