The Iranian team will face Al Nassr at the Al-Rashid Stadium, Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday.
Zobahan coach Yahya Golmohammadi has set his sights on finishing the Group Stage with another victory over Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, despite having already secured top spot in Group B.
The Iranian team is unbeaten so far, having won three and drawn two of its five games and is three points clear of second-placed Lekhwiya of Qatar.
“We can repeat the victory that we had in the previous match although we are playing against a strong team,” said the former Team Melli defender, whose side handed Al Nassr a 3-0 defeat in the team’s previous meeting on Matchday Five.
“Our players know that our opponents want to have a good finish to the competition and they are ready for the match.”
“We will be playing to get the three points regardless of the fact that we have secured our place in the knockout stage. We want to use this match to prepare for the remaining matches we have in the competition,” Golmohammadi added.
