Iran’s weightlifter wins 1 gold, 2 silver medals at Asian Championship

Ayoub Mousavi won a gold medal by lifting 206 kg in clean and jerk. In the snatch movement, he lifted 166 kg and won a silver medal. He also got a second silver medal with a total of 372kg.

The 2017 Asian Weightlifting Championships inaugurated in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan on Friday (April 23).

Seven weightlifters from Uzbekistan, China, Chinese Taipei, Afghanistan, Iran and Jordan attended the completions.

The event wraps up on April 29.
