Iranian wrestlers bag 2 golds, 1 silver at Asian Wrestling Champs

Hossein Nouri in the weight category of 87 kg and Behnam Mahdi Zadeh in the weight category of 130 kg snatched gold medals.

In the final match, Nouri defeated Japanese rival 3-0 and ranked first.

He had earlier overpowered China 5-0.

In 130-kilogram weight category, Mahdi Zadeh won the final match against Uzbekistan and received a gold medal.

Iran’s Mohammad Ali Geraei in the weight category of 77-kilogram was overpowered by China and clinched a silver medal.

The 2018 Asian Wrestling Championships will be held at the Kozhomkul Sports Palace, Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan. The event will take place from February 27 to March 4, 2018.
