The event is underway with the attendance of 267 taekwondo fighters from 34 countries.

After being defeated by Jordan rival, Khodabakhshi in the weight category of – 80kg ranked third.

This is while; Iranian national team ranked 2nd at the 5th Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships held in Vietnam.

Iranian squad with four gold, 2 silver and 7 bronze medals stood on the second place after South Korea.

The event was held on May 24-25 in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
