Iranian judoka earns silver in Tbilisi Grand Prix 2018

Mahjoub was the only judoka from Iran who managed to win a silver medal in men’s +100kg weight division from Judo Grand Prix 2018.

The winner of the gold medal in 2013 Bangkok Asian Championships, Mahjoub, advanced to the final after triumphing over judoka from Russia, France and Georgia.

Mahjoub lost the final match to Guram Tushishvili from Georgia and won a silver medal.

Mahjoub's silver medal was the only medal of six-member Iranian Judoka team.

Tiblisi Grand Prix 2018 was held from March 30 to April 1, 2018 with 38 countries and 302 judoka in attendance.

The Iranian Judoka team is scheduled to attend Antalya Grand Prix 2018 to be held next week.
