Tayyebeh Parsa defeated her rival from Uzbekistan to advance on the second game against the Azerbaijani taekwondoka.
However, she lost to the Azerbaijani athlete 4-10 in the second game while she beat her rival in the third game 7-3 and finally bagged a bronze medal.
The 4th Islamic Countries Games attended by 54 countries in 22 sports opened in Baku on May 12 and runs until May 22.
Iran’s sports team comprising 280 athletes is competing in 20 sports in the event.
