Iranian disabled athlete bags silver medal in London champs

At the end of the fifth day of the event, Khalvandi with 42.18 meter record ranked second.

In two consecutive events, which were London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016 and also in 2015 edition of World Para Athletics Championships which was held in Qatar, the Iranian athlete stood on the first place.

He registered the record of 50.98 meter in London 2012, 46.12 meter in Rio and 43.76 meter in 2015 Qatar.

The 2017 London World Para Athletics Championships is underway with the attendance of over 1,000 athletes until July 23.
