Iranian athletes bag 90 medals in 2017 Baku Games

After snatching eight medals (including seven gold medals and one silver on Monday, the last day of the event), Iran’s medal toll reached 90.

Today’s medals were distributed to Iran in volleyball, diving and pahlavani (zoorkhaneh) fields.

In volleyball, Iran overpowered Azerbaijan 3-0 and ranked first.

Iranian synchronized diving team also received a gold medal.

In pahlavani sports, Iranian team snatched five gold medals.

The Iranian squad totally got 31 gold, 26 silver, and 33 bronze medals.

The 4th round of Islamic Solidarity Games was held with the attendance of 54 countries in 22 sports fields on May 12-22.

Iranian squad consisting of 280 members participated in 20 fields.
