In team sports, Iranian Judo team was overpowered by South Korea.

Iranian Judo fighters hit Mongolia 3-2 and Turkey 3-2 and received a silver medal.

After defeating US and Poland, Iranian deaf volleyball team was overshined by Ukraine.

Iranian female athlete Fatemeh Esfandiari in 10-meter pistol shooting received a silver medal for the first time.

Iranian wrestler Rasoul Daryani in weight category of 85 kg overpowered his Turkish rival 6-3 but was defeated by Ukrainian athlete 2-1.

During the third place play-off, Daryani hit the Bulgarian wrestler and bagged a bronze medal.

In 130 kg weight category, Hashem Biabani defeated the Ukrainian rival 5-2 but he was hit by Russia and he snatched a bronze medal.

The 23rd Summer Deaflympics kicked off with the attendance of 107 Iranian deaf athletes in 13 sports fields on July 18. The competitions will be underway unti July 30.
