Iran weightlifters grab 5 more medals in Asian championship

On the sixth day of the championships, Taheri by lifting 154 kg in snatch finished runner up after an Omani weightlifter, winning a silver medal. In clean and jerk, Taheri cleared the 177 kg weight to stand at the fourth place. But in total, the Iranian athlete with 331 kg ranked third and snatched a bronze medal.

The other Iranian weightlifter Aref Khaki won a bronze medal in snatch with 147 kg, a gold medal in clean and jerk with 188 kg and a silver medal in total with 335 kg.
