The call was made during a meeting between Hashemi and the visiting President of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Sir Philip Craven on Monday.
Hashemi appreciated the IPC chief for his efforts in line with the growth and development of sports of the disabled.
One of the good traits of the IPC in Rio 2016 Games was decisive and serious encounter with the systematic phenomenon of doping which was honored by the world, the Iranian official told Craven.
Over the past years, good positions in the field of disabled sports were made available to Iran but given Iran’s valuable measures in this respect, special attention to Iran’s representatives is necessary, the official stressed.
Craven, for his part, appreciated Iran’s specific attention to disabled sports, saying he will “do my best to help allocate further seats to Iran in IPC.”
