Iran taekwondokas bag 1 silver, 1 bronze at WTF 2017 Grand Prix

Iranian taekwondoka Armin Hadipour in the weight category of – 58 kg received silver medal.

Hadipour, in his first match, hit the Belgium fighter 11-5 and during his second fight he overpowered the Irish rival 20-13 and advanced semi-final stage.

After defeating Thailand he advanced final match.

Meanwhile, Iranian taekwondo fighter Sajjad Mardani in the weight category of +80 kg was overpowered by his South Korean rival in semi-final match and ranked third.

In his first match, Mardani defeated Ivory Coast representative 11-0 and in the quarter finals hit Slovenia 21-9.

WTF 2017 Grand Prix is underway with the attendance of 205 fighters (103 male and 102 female) from 55 countries in Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, London.
