Envoy calls for further ties between Iranian, French media

In a meeting with an Iranian media delegation visiting France on Saturday night, Abolqasem Delfi said media have an importan role in raising public awareness.

In the meeting, Delfi elaborated on growing ties between the two countries especially after the implementation of Iran nuclear deal and also after Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's trip to France on Jan 25, 2016.

He also referred to the importance of media as pillars of soft power and their role in reflecting Iran's capabilities to reinforce bilateral cooperation.

The Iranian media delegation visiting France consists of journalists from the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) and some Iranian newspapers.
