Iran ranks 3rd in 2017 Asian Judo Championships

242 judokas from 28 countries were present in the competitions which opened in Hong Kong on Friday.

Iran defeated Pakistan 4-1 in its first game of the tournament, however, it was defeated by heavyweight Japan in the second game.

Despite the defeat against Japan, it still had the chance to win the bronze medal.

Iran then gained two wins against China and Kazakhstan to rank third in the competitions.
