In Ahvaz, Meysam Majidi gave Esteghlal a lead in the 31st minute but Farshad Salarvand found the back of the net with powerful shot in the 73rd minute.
Esteghlal stays top of the table with 43 points, one point ahead of Esteghlal Khuzestan.
In Tehran, 10-man Persepolis came from behind to defeat Siahjamegan 3-2.
Hossein Karimi put the visiting team in the lead just five minutes into the match.
Mehdi Taremi equalized the match in the 40th minute after dribbling Siahjamegan keeper.
Persepolis was reduced to 10-man just before the hour mark after its keeper Sosha Makani brought down Siahjamegan striker Hamidreza Aliasgar into the area.

Mehdi Alipour levelled the match in the 70th minute and Taremi headed the ball into the goal in the 83rd minute. Persepolis is third, one point adrift of IPL leader Esteghlal.
Furthermore, Naft Tehran edged past struggling Rah Ahan 1-0 and Padideh beat rock-bottom Esteghlal Ahvaz 2-0.
