Iran submitted a proposal to hold the 2019 veteran world wrestling championships in both freestyle and Greco-Roman styles in all age groups.

The 2018 freestyle Veteran world wrestling championships will be underway in Skopje, Macedonia, on September 28-30 and the Greco-Roman tournament will be held in Perm, Russia, on October 5-7.
