The ceremony was held in Taedonggang Diplomatic Club in the capital city of Pyongyang on Monday.
The Deputy head of North Korea's Foreign Relations Committee, Iranian ambassador in Pyongyang and a number of DPRK officials attended the ceremony.
The speakers of the event referred to the friendly and historical relations between the two countries and stressed expansion of ties in various fields.
30 years ago, the then president of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei visited Pyongyang in May 1989 and met with the DPRK officials, including the late DPRK leader, Kim Jong-il.
