FIFA President: Iran, Saudi Arabia may settle hosting problem

He made the remarks in a meeting with Minister of Sports and Youth Masoud Soltanifar.

Infantino said that neither politics should intervene in football and nor football should intervene in politics, adding that FIFA is trying to make all people enjoy football, either Iranians or Saudis as well as other people in the world.

He reminded that Iran's football both in Asia and at the world level has good position and as evident access to five international tournaments by Iranian teams in five different age categories and that Iran's football received five stars during my presidency.

'I have very good relations with Iran, but it is important that such excellent relations could continue with Iranian government and federation, because football in Iran is living', Infantino said.

He invited Sports and Youth Minister Masoud Soltanifar to attend inauguration ceremony of 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
