Morteza Rahmani-Movahhed made the remarks during Quds Day rallies in Tokyo Grand Mosque on Friday when he referred to seven-decade-long tyranny against the Palestinian people and neglecting their indisputable rights.
“Basic question on the Palestinian refugees is that what are their sins that their demands are going unnoticed by the international community over the past 70 years?” he said.
Defending the ideal of Palestine as the first issue of the Islamic world, violation of the international laws by the Zionist regime, economic siege on Gaza and the initiative ‘Deal of the Century’ are among the most important issues on the topic of Palestine, Rahmani said.
Commenting on Iran’s principled policy regarding the oppressed people of Palestine, he said, “Islamic Republic of Iran will continue the ideal of the Palestinian people and resistance of the nation until full liberation of the occupied territories.”
Quds is neither for the US to grant it nor for Israel to capture it; rather it belongs to Palestine and anybody ignoring the issue is doomed to failure, Iran’s envoy said.
