Iran embassy marks Al-Quds day in Pakistan

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.

Founder of the Islamic Revolution late Imam Khomeini initiated Al-Quds day as an integral part of Ramadan so that Muslims would never forget their responsibility and duty towards Palestine and all oppressed people in the world. The day is marked each year on the last Friday of Ramadan.

Senior politicians, religious leaders, foreign diplomats, professors, and analysts were also present during the event.

Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost on the occasion said Al-Quds is a blessed place and very dear to Muslims for being first Qibla of Islam.

“Today by the measure and foresight of Hazrat Imam Khomeini (R.A) and brilliant leadership of Hazrat Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader Quds Day has become a symbol of awareness of the Islamic world,” he said.

He added this is the year of conspiracies of a Zionist regime with the support of the US president. He added that commemoration of Quds Day with unity and empathy of the Muslims of the world has made the day more significant.

The ambassador said US President Donald Trump’s step to recognize Al-Quds as the capital of the Zionist regime is the violation of all international laws.
Mehdi Honardoost noted that millions of Palestinian refugees are displaced in various countries and waiting for the return to their motherland.

He added that thousands of Palestinians are languishing in Israeli jails and some of them are women and children.

The envoy expressing his views said that the controversial deal of the century is likely to fail. “Residents of Gaza are under cruel siege of Israel for 12 years,” he said.

He said the US and Israel are the real enemies of the Muslim world.

“But the axis of resistance in the region has stood against American and Zionist plots and deal of the century is top of it which aims complete destruction of the Palestinian cause in the interest of Zionists and will not allow its realization,” he said.

Mehdi Honardoost went on to say that Iran has been paying the price of supporting the oppressed people of Palestine.

Secretary-General of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan (MWM) Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri said that the Zionist Regime is pursuing expansionist designs for its own survival otherwise it would cease to exist.

He said Imam Khomeini was a great visionary leader who soon after the victory of the Islamic Revolution handed over the control of Israel embassy to the Palestinians and declared last Friday of Ramadan as Al-Quds day.

He said Trump is basically a property dealer that is why he is trying to sell the land of Palestinians under the controversial deal of the century.

MWM leader was confident that Muslims through their united efforts would fail the deal of the century. He said the Zionist Regime is the mother of all problems.
Former Senator and a senior member of Pakistan Peoples Party Farhatullah Babar complimented Iran for keeping the issue of Palestine alive by observing Al-Quds day every year.

He said that Muslims have to be vigilant as the US President Donald Trump will be announcing the US policy towards Palestine in June. “Trump is not an honest broker thus cannot be relied upon,” the politician added.

He pointed out that Iran is the only country in the world that is standing by Palestinian people and support their cause.

Farhatullah Babar went on to say that Palestine would be the focus of all issues in the world and needs to be settled.   He said Muslims with their efforts must fail the deal of the century.

He said in the current scenario Pakistan has to be very careful and cannot afford to make a mistake in international politics.
He added that leading of military alliance by a former Pakistan army chief is undermining Pakistan’s position to remain neutral in intra-Middle Eastern conflicts.
“I would urge the government of Pakistan to play its role very carefully,” the politician said.

Qibla Ayaz, chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) expressing his views said Al-Quds day is an important day for all nations in the world.

He called upon all the Muslims to shun their differences and unite for the stability of Ummah. He said that external hand can be seen behind what is happening today in the Muslim world.

Religious scholar Saqib Akbar said that the Zionist regime is an imposed state. He praised Imam Khomeini for announcing last Friday of Ramadan as Al-Quds day.
He was confident that soon the Zionist regime would cease to exist. He added that the deal of the century is an insult to humanity.

A senior leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, Mian Muhammad Aslam Khan, stressed upon the Muslim world to unite for the stability and prosperity of Ummah.  He said that enemies of Islam are afraid of the unity of Muslims.

He said Palestine would be the only state in the region and there is no place for the illegitimate Zionist regime in times to come.

On the occasion pictures showing the struggle of Palestinian people and atrocities of the Zionist Regime were also displayed.
