Deputy sports minister hopeful for attracting foreign investment

Speaking on the sidelines of the 15th International Exhibition of Sports, Sporting Goods & Equipment (SPORTEX 2017), Manaf Hashemi told IRNA that although Iranian sports goods can't be compared with those of Germany and South Korea, but the more competition between domestic and foreign investors will lead to higher quality in sports goods.

'The first step to capture foreign markets is to provide private sector with facilities to promote the quality of the goods,' he said.

'The exhibition was held with the attendance of some 110 domestic and foreign participants from Germany, Spain, South Korea, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Russia, Italy, China, Kuwait and Indonesia,' he said.

The 15th International Exhibition of Sports, Sporting Goods & Equipment (SPORTEX 2017) will be underway in Tehran International Permanent Fairground until January 17.
