Ardebil to host Asian volleyball qualifiers

Head of the office Ayoob Behtaj said that the matches will start from August 10 with the five Asian volleyball powers: Iran, China, South Korea, Qatar, and the champion of Central Asia (the Maldives, Bangladesh, or Kyrgyzstan).

The hosting was given to Ardebil, a province in the northwestern Iran, based on its perfect hosting of 2017 Asian Men's U23 Volleyball Championship 1 to 9 May.

In the games, Iran defeated Japan in the final match 3–0 and became the champion. Both finalists qualified for the World Championship.
