
Zarif made the remarks in a meeting with Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad al-Sabah on Wednesday.
All should mind prospects of mutual relations and taking into accounts the danger of common enemies, he said.
In the meeting, the two ministers exchanged views on issues of mutual interest along with regional developments.
Expansion of relations and cooperation with the neighboring states is among Iranian diplomacy's priorities, Zarif said.
Kuwait is one of Iran’s good neighbors which plays significant role in the region and the role of the Kuwaiti Emir in bolstering good neighborly relations is praiseworthy, Zrif said.
Kuwaiti foreign minister, for his part, highlighted the significant role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region and the globe and said the two countries share many historical, cultural and religious commonalities.
Referring to common threats such as terrorism in the region, he said all should regard future developments as countries in the region better know their expediency.
All should put aside their differences and remove existing misunderstanding to help restore a calm atmosphere through establishing blatant talks, he added.
