Talking to reporters after a meeting with Syrian Parliament Speaker Hadiya Abbas late Tuesday, he added that Turkey achieved none of the objectives it pursued in Syria.
They expected to pray in Omavid Mosque in Damascus, but these expectations did not come true and will never do so, and the Syrian nation and government are the final triumphant.
As to Saudi Arabian foreign minister’s statements in Munich Security Conference, he said that Adel Al-Jubeir made baseless remarks.
“We have been accustomed to hearing irrational words and attach no importance to them,” he said.
With such unwise statements on foreign relations, it is Saudi Arabai which will suffer losses, Velayati said, noting Iran is present in Iraq and Syria on the official requests of their governments to provide them with advisory assistance.
Those who entered the countries are aggressors and should leave themselves or else the Syrian and Iraqi nations will expel them soon, he said.
Describing the meeting with Abbas as constructive and valuable, he said that the meeting concluded that Iran is a strategic ally of Syria.
At a time when Syria was alone and faced many problems due to the plots of the US and its regional allies such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, Hezbollah and Iraq and later on Russia converged to defuse the conspiracies, he said.
Enemies of the Syrian nation wanted to occupy and split the country and demolish the Syrian government, the official said, noting that now all accept that the Syrian nation and government and their allies have had a crucial role in Syrian developments and created a turning point of recapturing Aleppo.
During Munich conference, the enemies tried to put the blames on Iran while they themselves were responsible, he said, noting that all the analysts and experts know that the Americans and Zionists are backing terrorism in the region and those who are fighting terrorism in the region are the Syrian nation and government, Hezbollah, Iraq as well as other allies.
Velayati reiterated that Iran, Syria strategic ties will continue until full victory of the Syrian nation and government.
Syrian Parliament Speaker Abbas also said after the meeting, “We achieved big victories in Syria and managed to foil the conspiracies devised against Syria six years ago.”
Describing her meeting with Velayati as fruitful, she said that the talks mainly focused on areas of mutual interest as well as the advances made in Syria.
She also added that Conference Supporting Palestine Intifada will help put the issue of Palestine at the center of Islamic world’s attention once again.
