
Jahangiri made the remarks Saturday in a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda Moses Ali.
There are many opportunities for developing economic, political and cultural cooperation between the two countries, he said.
Jahangiri appreciated Uganda for its no vote to anti-Iran humanitarian resolution, saying unfortunately some Western countries have prepared the resolution to put pressure on Iran.
Jahangiri called for both countries' cooperation in regional and international issues to fight terrorism and extremism.
Meanwhile, Moses Ali addressed the meeting saying Iran and Uganda are friends and Uganda has always supported Iran's independent stances.
