He also said that the US may not be able to accompany other countries with them to stop oil purchase from Iran.
He said it would be improbable for world countries to avoid buying Iranian oil.
Regarding the IRGC's threat to lock out the Hormuz Strait if the US prevented Iranian oil from being exported, he said that Iran has the option and it can have vast effects.
He also said that US attempts to increase pressure on Iran is if fact playing with fire because there might be military confrontation if the US goes on.
On Monday, the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in a unilateral and hostile act declared that US will no longer extend waivers to buyers of Iran oil.
According to Western media, Pompeo claimed that the US has been given assurances by oil producers - namely Saudi Arabia and the UAE - to ensure a sufficient supply to minimize impact on pricing.
He added that sanctions waiver permission will be expired on May 1 and as of May 2 no permission will exist to extend these waivers.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said, “Well, we said very clearly that we will continue to sell our oil and we will continue to survive and our people will show to the United States that they cannot deal with Iran through pressure.”
In the past few days, Russia, China and Turkey have condemned the US move and stressed they will continue to buy oil from Iran.
