Al-Jamili called the recent visit of the Iranian Minister of Health and Medical Education Saeed Namaki to Baghdad successful, saying the two sides are to develop cooperation in health area.
Iran's Namaki flew to Baghdad on April 22 at the invitation of his Iraqi counterpart Ala'a Al Alawan.
Iran enjoys modern medicine industry when being compared with other regional countries, al-Jamili said.
Health ministries of Iraq and Iran are planned to promote bilateral relations in the health area as the two countries enjoy high level of cooperation in other areas regarding the same neighborhood, religious commonalities and historical relations.
Iran vowed to share experience and knowledge with Iraq and provide the Iraqi patients with medical treatment in the Iranian hospitals, the official said.
Al-Jamili gave bright prospects for health cooperation between the two countries.
During the three-day visit of the Iranian health minister to the Iraqi capital, five agreements on medical cooperation were signed.
