Over 100,000 civilians are likely to be still imprisoned by Daesh in the Iraqi city of Mousl, said a report by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Representative in Iraq, Bruno Geddo.
we know Daesh would transfer these civilians to other areas in Mosul after leaving the war zones, Geddo said.
Due to lack of preliminary facilities in these areas, while being surrounded by war, civilians are living in critical conditions, he added.
Iraqi forces have liberated four villages in western Mosul which were under the control of Daesh.
Operations to liberate west of Mosul have started since mid February and only one percent of the area is under the control of terrorist group Daesh.
