UN Chief condemns Kabul suicide attack

Antonio Guterres in a statement on Monday said that “the deliberate targeting of civilians constitutes a grave violation of human rights and international humanitarian law and may constitute a war crime.”

He also expressed sympathy with the families of the victims of the incident.

A suicide attack on Monday targeted an area in the western Kabul which killed at least 20 civilians and injured more than 40. The terrorist group Taliban claimed the responsibility.
