Turkish Pres. condoles with Tehran on Plasco tragedy

Turkish Prime Minister, Binali Yıldırım, and Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, in separate messages condoled with their Iranian counterparts, Eshaq Jahangiri, and Mohammad-Javad Zarif on the occasion.

In the messages, they wished quick recovery for the injured.

Head of Iran-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group Yusuf Beyazit has also sent a condolence message and talked with Iranian Ambassador to Ankara, Mohammad-Ebrahim Taherian, on phone about the issue.

The Turkish official condoled with Iranian people and government over the sad occasion.

Head of Iran's Emergency Medical Services, Pir-Hossein Kolivand, said on Thursday that following collapse of the Plasco Trade Center many firefighters are feared dead.

The fire in Plasco Trade Center, which is one of the biggest in the Iranian capital, collapsed on Thursday morning as the fire started in the seventeen-storey business building in the early hours of Thursday, despite efforts by Tehran firefighters to contain it.

A center for making apparel, the Plasco center soon was engulfed in a big fire that caused the collapse of a wall in the building's northern side and its final total collapse.
