Tunisian MP: Hezbollah not alone in fighting terrorism

Tunisian MP Mubaraka Awainiya al-Brahimi, who visited Syria and Lebanon as a member of parliamentary delegation, said in a recent exclusive interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), 'We are here to change the political orientation and approach of the Tunisian statesmen which in recent years have resulted in joining a number of Tunisian youths to the extremist groups and made the country to a Takfiri terrorist hub.'

'Those who raised the Daesh (terrorist group) flags were mercenaries who displayed a false image of our country,' She said, 'but, we managed to change the approach by dint of resistance, patience and resilience, and to replace the black flags with the yellow flags of Hezbollah.'

'We would also change the official stance of Tunis government too, and restore the ties with Syrian government,' al-Brahimi stressed.

'Our brothers in Syria and Lebanon should remember that they are not alone in their fight against the Zionist and Takfiri terrorism,' she said.

The Tunisian and Moroccan people took to the streets to protest calling Hezbollah a 'terrorist' group by the (Persian) Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC),' she added, noting that the very public protests made the Tunisian government to express its opposition to the decision within hours after its announcement.

The war against enemies seems to be endless and the Resistance has to address each time new forms of enemies, al-Brahimi said.

But victory belongs to the Resistance as it is on the right path, according to her.

The region is in a dangerous condition, with states that have to bribe big powers to stay in power, in the same way the Saudi King did during the US President Donald Trump's visit to Riyadh,' She said, referring to the Saudi Arabia as 'a wound' plaguing the whole Islamic Ummah.
